Cardi B, like the majority of rappers out there, loves collecting expensive, custom rides. She can’t and won’t drive, though: even if she were to get her driver’s license, she still prefers to be chauffeured around.

Being a passenger in her own cars doesn’t take away from the pleasure of owning them, which explains why Cardi keeps adding to her impressive fleet. But the fact that she is such a terrible (unlicensed) driver makes for an excellent starting point for the latest episode of her Cardi Tries series on Facebook.
Name a better woman who could teach another woman a thing or two about driving than Michelle Rodriguez. Cardi B reached out to her “friend” Michelle, an experienced stunt driver due to her years-long involvement in the Fast and Furious franchise, for what she hoped would be a lesson in the basics of driving.
Instead, Michelle took her stunt driving.
The entire episode is available at the bottom of the page and, at 15-minutes long, it’s worth checking out even if you’re not a fan of Cardi’s and her exaggerated, almost comedic way about.. everything.
This is most likely scripted, so Cardi leans hard into her clueless persona, even asking at one point, “how do you even get a car to start moving?” Of course, she shows up at the Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamund, California, in an all-leather custom outfit with Madonna-style cone-shaped breasts, orange wig, and heels so high she can barely walk without assistance.
She keeps insisting that all she wants is to learn how to parallel park and put the car in reverse, but she gets training from Jalil Jay Lynch, professional stunt driver and coordinator, and his daughter Brionna, a professional stunt driver herself. Lynch promises to help Cardi learn some “evasive action driving,” which would come in handy to her in LA traffic.
Instead, he has her doing a standing burnout in a Chevy SS, with Michelle in the back and Brionna in the passenger seat. A timed obstacle course is up next and, despite Cardi’s claim that she can’t keep a car straight, she’s able to almost complete one lap – before she literally goes through every obstacle on the course. Speaking of which, the obstacles were a stand with designer bags and an actual champagne tower.
Again, everything is played up for comedic effect. Cardi is the glitzy, scared diva who takes offense with having to change out of her couture into something that would save her life in case of an accident, and everything she does plays off that image. But if anything, this video shows again why Michelle is such a force to be reckoned with in a field still dominated by men: she’s badass whether she’s at the wheel or not. But mostly when she’s behind it.
